Volunteer Opportunities

Community Service Volunteer Program

Become a skilled volunteer by learning empathetic listening, problem solving, goal setting, and more. Support clients facing life challenges like transitions, isolation, relationships, unemployment, loss, and grief.

Training:

  • 6 sessions, 2.5 hours each

  • Includes reading, assignments, role-play, and practice counselling

  • Covers communication skills, emotional support, goal setting, and personal growth

Role:
After training, volunteers provide one-on-one or group emotional support to clients with single-issue challenges (not complex trauma, sexual abuse, or addiction).

Who can join:
Open to all genders.

Application process:

  • Download and submit an application

  • Interview with references required

  • Criminal Record Check required

Commitment:

  • Minimum 75 volunteer hours after training

  • Ongoing support and supervision provided
