Marketing and Social Media Coordinator

The Family Resource Centre – Vernon, B.C.

 

Position is 35 hours a week for 9 weeks, $18.25 an hour, starting as soon as possible

 

The Family Resource Centre (FRC) is a dynamic client-centered social service agency with a mission of providing affordable counselling and support programs to residents in the North Okanagan.

 

The position will involve creating a social media plan for the summer and fall based on our social media marketing guidelines, our programming and events, and best practices for digital marketing. Once the plan is created the position will be responsible for creating content and scheduling posts.

 

The position could also be involved with creating and marketing events.

 

Our organization has a flat structure, so the position could be called into a range of meetings to brainstorm not just on marketing but on other agency initiatives, programs, and event.

 

The position will also cover reception for a day or more each week and help with other office administrative tasks as needed.

 

Qualifications:

·        Previous experience with social media marketing required.

·        Experience with press releases and other types of promotion a plus.

·        Excellent communication skills

·        Works from a team perspective

·        Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks required

·        After-hours work may be required.
